High Street
This study examines the Z axis as the key to revitalizing the off hour desolation that has overtaken business districts within our urban cores. Making Bay Street the testing ground for a new vertical streetscape, ‘High street’ aims to de-capsularis tower culture by implementing a new typology that sees the public realm rise vertically alongside the corporate towers. This multi layered street aims to foster connections between buildings, businesses and pedestrians alike using elevated bridges, walkways and escalators to criss cross through the void above and below the street creating an elaborate artery of busy circulation and commercial activity.
