Henri Noël: A New Chapter in Naples

How can a jewelry flagship express a family’s legacy while creating a new kind of luxury retail experience?

Completed in winter 2025, the Henri Noël Jewelry Flagship in Naples, Florida, transforms a former yoga studio into a retail showroom and operational headquarters for the third-generation jewelry brand founded by Vivian Warwick. DS Studio led the architecture and interior design, applying an integrated retail design approach that brings the brand’s history, identity and craft into the customer experience.

A New Home for a Family Legacy

Henri Noël is closely tied to Warwick’s family history. Named in honour of her grandfather Henry, a Naples jewelry store owner in the 1980s, the brand carries a multi-generational connection to jewelry and its place in marking personal histories.

The brief called for a flagship that could carry that legacy forward without reproducing the familiar language of a traditional jewelry store. It also needed to bring two programs together: a customer-facing retail environment and the operational headquarters where jewelry is made and the business is run.

The existing commercial unit presented another challenge. Formerly a yoga studio, the space was part of a plaza with a largely uniform façade. DS Studio worked with the property owner, municipality and condo board to establish a more recognizable presence for Henri Noël both inside and out.

The Art of Discovery

Rather than displaying everything at once, DS Studio organized the store as a sequence of discoveries.

Carefully positioned windows, glass-block openings, two-way mirrors and partially concealed thresholds create connections between the showroom and the working spaces beyond. Customers encounter finished pieces while catching glimpses of jewelers at work in The Forge, revealing some of the craft behind the objects on display.

That sense of discovery continues through the retail environment. Custom cabinetry draws from antique cabinets of curiosities, opening to reveal jewelry in illuminated vignettes. Display drawers activate subtle lighting when opened, while hidden rooms and mirrored passages encourage customers to move deeper into the store. The journey culminates in the Gem Den, a private consultation space for custom appointments and heirloom refreshes.

More Is More

The material language departs from the cool restraint often associated with contemporary luxury retail.

Walnut millwork, multicoloured mosaic flooring, marble, travertine, velvet, pattern and sculptural lighting create a warmer and more layered environment. Custom furniture and display cabinetry make the architecture part of the act of browsing: pieces are opened, illuminated and revealed as customers move through the store.A Naples Flagship for the Next Generation of Henri Noël

The architectural transformation extends to the exterior. DS Studio introduced a new canopy, upgraded doors and windows, refined signage, and coordinated planting, landscaping and furnishings to differentiate Henri Noël within the existing plaza. These interventions carry the identity of the interior outward while strengthening the flagship’s street presence.

Beyond the Display Case

Henri Noël brings retail, storytelling and making together in one environment. Rather than presenting jewelry as an isolated finished product, the flagship gives customers glimpses into the people, processes and family history behind it.
