Khao San Rd

Nestled in between a forest of towers next to Toronto’s financial district, Khao San Road + Bang Sue Bar is instantly recognizable from the street by the two-storey wall of imported handmade tiles from Thailand. The dining room’s exposed concrete floors, full glass walls, graffiti art and food stalls bring the colour and life of Bangkok’s most famous street to patrons indoors.

This 2,500 sqft restaurant can host up to 120 diners in its two bars and two dining rooms and is serviced by two kitchens. DS Studio worked to create a dynamic atmosphere by inverting the exterior and interior, essentially bringing the street inside for a lively and memorable dining experience.

On the ground level, patrons will find a bustling restaurant filled with carefully curated statement pieces, or may head upstairs to Ban Sue Bar for a more intimate, low-key setting complemented by elegant lighting and modest furniture.
