Nady Study

The Nady Study explores different iterations of the Nady social clubs which occupy vast portions of public and private land within most metropolitan centers of Egypt and examines how different legal and financial strategies can be leveraged to increase the quantity and quality of recreational spaces within dense urban cores.

Through a series of interviews with architects, urban planners and developers along with site visits to numerous sporting clubs, the study collected data on built form and urban context and examined the various legal and financial relationships that allow these recreational hubs to exist.
