DS Studio designed STACKTx, a modular pop-up retail concept for STACKT Market that brings mobile, two-storey shipping container shops to Ottawa and cities across Canada. Built from standard containers and designed for flexible transport by flatbed truck, the project combines modular retail architecture, custom lighting, millwork, flexible merchandising, public art, and barrier-free design. With accessible ramps, wraparound decking, integrated seating, vibrant murals, and evening uplighting, STACKTx creates an inclusive, community-focused retail environment that supports local businesses, public programming, and urban activation. As architect and prime consultant, DS Studio delivered a scalable, sustainable, and experience-driven retail solution rooted in accessibility, adaptability, and thoughtful design.
